Dinner/Social Hour at the NEW GCC Pub!! Oct 29!

What: Check out Ray's, the new GCC Pub!

When: 6-7:30 pm, Thursday, Oct 29

Where: GCC (750 Escondido Rd across from Blackwelder)

Why: We'll be buying you some food and beer. Come chill with your neighbors as midterms draw to a close.

***Update: Faster items include burgers, curries, burros, etc. Slower items: Teriyaki bowls and salads.*****

Cider, Wine and Fall Goodness

What: Spiced cider, mulled wine, and snacks!

Where: EV Cottage Room (attached to the EV housing office)

When: this Thursday, Oct 15, 6:30-8:30pm

Why: Take a break from your studies to chill with your neighbors while enjoying some warm drinks and treats!

Running group?

A few of you mentioned you'd be interested in finding people to run with. We think that's a great idea!!!

Frozen yogurt Thursday 9/24

What: Frozen Yogurt from Fraiche

Where: 1st floor Student Union (under the Bank of America atm)

When: Thursday 9/24, 7pm

Why: Because it's freaking hot! Fraiche serves delicious and slightly tart frozen yogurt with fresh fruit and other mix-ins.

Enjoy a nice dessert on campus with your neighbors as the first week winds down.

Thanks to everybody who came out to help us kickoff the year and especially those who helped us setup and cleanup! Roughly 100 of you guys showed up and did a GREAT job finishing off the food. :)

Welcome to the new online home of EV Stranded, a cyber-refugee camp for all of us singles stranded in family housing :). (Yes, that is literally what our neighborhood is named!) Because our our residents are spread through such a large area of EV, we hope that this site as well as our events during the year will help foster more of a community.

We will be using this site to post information about our neighborhood events, EV-wide events as well as other useful tidbits about grad life.
